Hi, I’m Ella. I am a PhD candidate in Finance at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, and I am on the 2026–2027 academic job market. My research interests are in sustainable finance and environmental economics, with a focus on how households, insurance systems and sovereigns respond to climate risk. My job market paper, “Flood Inundation, Migration Localization and Insurance Adjustment,” studies how migration and participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) responds to local flood exposure in the United States. I have worked as an intern at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and as a World Bank Group (WBG) Africa Fellow at the International Finance Corporation.
